Subject: [sydjs] Mobile Statistics for Australia
Hello SydJS,
I was wondering if anyone knew off the top of their head a good resource
for the current Mobile Device landscape for Australia.
I'm trying to compile a list of devices our web application will support
and i want to base my list on the most common devices. Its easy to find
these statistics for worldwide, but a bit harder to get them just for
Australia. A quick google search find breakdowns based on platform, but i
can't turn up anything that goes down to the specific handset thats used.
Any and all information is welcome and would be very helpful.
Cheers,
Clark

Thanks for that Tatham,
I had a look at StatCounter, but i need it even more detailed (i.e. Samsung
Galaxy S II).
That Budde site looked promising, but they were behind a $1000 paywall, so
i think i'll keep looking and go to that if i can't find anything.

You should look at your analytics result.
But you should support iphone and android from version 2.3 ginger bread
That is like 95% traffic in my current company site.

If you can get friendly with someone that owns a large .au property with
google analytics - it gives you a pretty good device breakdown. Just ask
for the list of devices in order of magnitude, you won't need the actual
numbers.
