This week, and background

First off, Neal has something going on Sunday and Aaron has the Martian
Death Plague, so we will not be gaming this weekend. Neal's told me that
every day next week is fine, Cassie says she'd prefer Wednesday, so what
do we think about becoming the Wednesday RPG, for at least next week?
Anyway, whenever we play it, we're going to play Gamma World. Maybe it'll
suck and we'll go back to 3.5 next time, or maybe we'll play it a couple
more times and then go back, we'll see. But, because I'm the only one
who's read it, here's the background:
In 2012, scientists at the Large Hadron Collider accidentally condensed
all possible alternate universes on to our own for a split second, an
event now called The Big Mistake. Some of these universes had advanced
alien technology, some had different life forms, some working magic; most
were devastated by nuclear war. It's now 150 years afterward, and the
civilization of The Ancients (our civilization) has given way to mostly
unexplored wasteland.
For things t watch to get in the mood, think Tank Girl, or a cross between
Fallout and Transmetropolitan. The rules are geared more toward
ease-of-play and crazy-things-happening than dry realistic simulation;
it's decidedly not AD&D. It looks like a lot of fun though.
