Borderless windows?

Borderless windows?

Hi all,

I would like to make a shoes app which has a borderless window (i.e. no
chrome on the sides/top/bottom, no title bar, no minimize/maximize close
buttons). Is this within the realm of what shoes can do? Does someone have
a (platform-independent) way of doing this? The manual and tutorials come
reaaaally close to talking about this but they don't :{

Any help would be appreciated!

I opened an issue over at shoes4, though:
https://github.com/shoes/shoes4/issues/1052

While we're on this topic, I'd like to ask something similar too, is there
a possibility maybe to change the text("*Shoes says:*" which comes up when
shoes-*alert *message is called?

Thanks, guys.
Perhaps this is related: what about setting the 'always on top' state of a
shoes window?

Hi there,

I know of no way in shoes to make that happen. In Shoes4 you can always
try to fiddle with the underlying SWT layer to make this happen, not
recommended, though ;)

I filed two issues:

https://github.com/shoes/shoes4/issues/1056
https://github.com/shoes/shoes4/issues/1057

They should be rather easy to implement, but are not a focus for us
right now (still working on missing core functionality) but feel free to
give it a shot :)
