Hey, all!

I have an experiment for you to play with. Shoes in the browser. This is
CoffeeScript, which gets compiled to JavaScript and then executed (you can
see the compiled code there in the demo).

Demo: http://wasnotrice.github.com/shoes-black/

Code: https://github.com/wasnotrice/shoes-black

So far you can really only use the (four?) features you see in the sample,
but you can do variations for fun. Try colors! This is just a toy to
explore a completely different paradigm, and portability (no packaging?).
I'm pretty intrigued. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Shoes on.

Eric

I love it! I thought about doing something similar some time ago as I
loved the idea... :-) And of course I like CoffeeScript! Very good
idea.. man so many interesting cool projects around!

I think it's very well worth pursuing as I like the Shoes DSL - no
matter where :-D

However this makes my desire for a common core even greater :o

Cheers,
Tobi

Hi Eric,

Black Shoes? :-D

I love the concept "Shoes in the browser"!

I've tried to translate Shoes like app written in Ruby into HTML5 Canvas
element written in JavaScript a year ago (called Orange Shoes). But there
is no progress (no idea) for now. :-P

And I remember "socks" : https://github.com/petejkim/socks
It also has no progress for three years, though...

So, I have a high expectation of your idea. :)
