Another Walkabout

Another Walkabout

Folks,

I'm not going to continue with the cross compile of Shoes as I
documented at

https://github.com/ccoupe/shoes/wiki/Cross-Compile-in-Linux-to-MingW-Windows-Shoes

Yes it's long and whiny and oh so Cecil cranky.

I'm certain it can be done but I've reached my limit of caring about
Shoes/Windows and the amount of typing required with my RSI is too much
for me. I'm going to have to leave it to the young turks to maintain the
C source and gain their C chops and their Obj-C creds. I've done what I
can to document Shoes internals and keep Red Shoes focused on its goals.
BTW, my idea of replacing winhttp with a tailored curl lib for stub.c
and net-download is absolutely brilliant IMO but it's too much work for
me. I can't suffer that much Windows.

I'll still read the email list and answer direct questions but I'm
winding down my Shoes involvement.

Best wishes,
  --Cecil

Oh, okay.

We'll miss you Cecil, if you choose to part.

Are there any other Shoes areas, non-Windows, that you're interested
and motivated?
