Hey guys, I just wanted to post a link to wilkie's vista fix, in case
anyone was curious:
http://github.com/wilkie/shoes/commit/95fed5e6310cb0174ba80b8d4a5225a16e27c14b

What an awesome commit message.

Anyway... I'll be pulling an all-weekend shoes/hackety marathon
starting this evening. Expect to see some merges pop up in your GitHub
Feed tonight, thanks for being patient. It's been an... interesting
week.

Hi All,
Initial test - my test programs run correctly, no flashing seen on my
vista pc, but my gray background is now black.

Hi Roger,

Thank you for the quick feedback. I could replicate the issue you found.

Looks like that happen when we use Windows native elements - edit_line,
edit_box and button.

Try this snippet: Shoes.app{button}

That will be happen. I'll tell to Wilkie and also try to check Shoes code by
myself.

Thanks,
ashbb

Shoes.app{button} gives a grey button on a black background - assume this
is what you meant!

Tried to change my code - I have 8 buttons plus 2 edit-lines on the form -
couldn't get it going quickly due to syntax errors (my mistakes due to
lack of knowledge at this stage), will try again later with a simpler form
and advise.
