New branches, cool features

New branches, cool features

Dear Radicale lovers,

Two branches have been recently added:

- carddav: CardDAV support
- git: different storage backends support

These branches are far from being perfect, they need a lot of testing
reports and love from you. The carddav branch somehow works with
Evolution, Korganizer and CardDAV-Sync, but bugs need to be found,
reported and fixed. The git branch needs a lot of tests too with various
clients (Apple ones for example), and it is waiting for new backends
(git of course, but also sqlalchemy).

If you have one, two or a thousand minutes of free time to give to
Radicale, it may be the moment to spend them!

Thanks a lot to all of you, especially to Keith Packard for his work on
Calypso and his great advices.

This sounds awesome !

Did you try with Sogo Conector for TB yet ? I'll try when I have a
minute, but I don't know when that will be :) Hopefully I'll find a bit
of time this weekend to try this out.

Thanks a lot :)
Lots of Hugs >=0=<

Not much luck I'm afraid... The latest available Sogo connector is for
TB 3.1 :( I've edited the XPI to make it work for my version (7.0.1),
and it installs ok and lets me set up remote address books - but that's
about it. It doesn't even try to connect to Radicale (nothing shows in
the debug log at least).

Given that this is for TB 3.1, I think it's not worth spending too much
time on this one.

CardDav support for TB seems to be quite high on the demand list,
unfortunately not very high on the developers' list. If anyone knows of
another way to get this let me know :)

:)

PS. Sorry, just sent this message from wrong email address ! Please ignore !

I hope that the support will come soon, but I'm quite pessimistic as
it's already a long-awaited feature. Evolution and KOrganizer are today,
AFAIK, the only "real" open-source CardDAV clients for computers (well,
Evolution only supports WebDAV).

By the way, nice try, I hope that we'll be luckier next time ;)!

Cheers,
