I followed the Photon Installation instruction so photon/photon-beta is
used.

I thinks this package of photon is out-of-date. Can you try by cloning
this git repository ?

git clone git://projects.ceondo.com/photon.git
git checkout master

Then, to use this local version of photon instead of the pear package
you must export this line in your env.
export PHP_PHOTON=<your git folder>/src/photon.php

Done.
echo $PHP_PHOTON points to the local photon now.
Running hnu gives me:
Could not open input file: /usr/bin/../src/photon.php

Did I make a typo in the env variable?
