Meeting next Wednesday!

Meeting next Wednesday!

Hey Everyone,

This is just a reminder that next Wednesday is our monthly meet up. Does
anything have anything they'd be interested in talking about?

Also, I'm trying to remember if I did a presentation on Roboelectric in the
past. I'm working on a new project and am using this library again along
with Mockito. If people would be interested I could talk about these
libraries and how to use them in your own projects.

Cheers,

I can talk a little bit about STL rendering; STL is a simple triangle mesh
format that is used by the 3D printing crowd. I'll see if I can find my
dongles for my macbook air so we can show stuff on a screen, if we wish.

I don't remember seeing this.

I *would* like maybe a bit of an overview of ActionBarSherlock; I've been
stuck in OpenGL-land (and NDK) and keep hoping to pop back up and do more
UI stuff.

Thanks;

John A. Stewart.

What kind of dongles you need? I have HDMI to DVI and displayport to DVI,
as well as displayport to VGA

Somehow, my message took over a day to get through this list; it was meant
for last night. Oh well!

Last month, Carson presented to the 4 of us attendees on his laptop
because we did not have the proper cables, etc.

See you next month;

John A. Stewart.

OK, NP. The offer stands for the future.

At the Shopify lounge, we're equipped with an HDMI cable for a large
overhead projector. We have the dongles necessary to plug in a Thunderbolt
(and likely mini-DisplayPort) equipped machine.

But, note, if you are intending to present from an Android tablet
device (I did that at OCLUG last week) that the micro-HDMI -> HDMI
converter you can get has a male HDMI, as does the long HDMI cable
that Shopify has at present.

If an HDMI gender bender exists... it would be good to obtain.

For those on a Galaxy device (including Galaxy Nexus), I've got an MHL
adapter too. This converts micro-USB to an HDMI port, but requires support
in the device hardware.

Oh yeah.

Next month we'll be at the Shopify offices.
