The new features are looking pretty awesome.

Also, *near native speed on the emulator OMG!!!!*

Thanks for posting this link; I think the emulator speedup (if it is real)
would be great - when I was using it (as opposed to sending executables to
a connected device) it was by far the worst app for consuming resources by
far.

Bad news everyone,

The massive performance improvement that Google is all too happy to write
about only affects the x86 Android system image. At this time, Intel has
provided a 2.3.3 (API 10) build *only*. No Honeycomb or ICS builds are
available. It also does not support the Google APIs; it is plain-old AOSP.

In my usage, it's been large-sized emulators like tablets or XHDPI phones
that are unusably slow, not the more reasonable 480x800 or 320x480 screens.
Have a look at the Android x86 Project <http://www.android-x86.org/> for
news on their progress in porting ICS to x86. They are essentially doing
the work Intel ought to!

I've been playing around with it this morning and the speed up is real.
However, there is only a 2.3.3 image. It doesn't help if you want to test
on Android 3.X or 4.X. A shame really as the ICS image fails to connect to
the debugger 50% of the time for me.
