Redcarpet diffs?

Redcarpet diffs?

I decided to switch to Redcarpet for Markdown, on the assumption that
I'd get support for Github-Flavored Markdown. Is that the case? If so,
I'm doing something wrong, because I'm not getting that.

As far as I'm aware, Redcarpet is just a Sundown binding for Ruby.

I don't think they released the code for GFM. I'd love to be corrected if
they have though...

To get GFM I think you need to implement the full HTML pipeline[1]. I
think we've eased up on the Linguist requirement and it's more
Heroku-friendly. I've been meaning to play with it in Nesta locally.

Could you educate a Ruby/PAAS newbie? What about Redcarpet was Heroku
unfriendly? Would this apply to other providers (I use AppFog)?

+1 let me know what breaks on Heroku, I'll see what I can patch.

Sorry for the confusion. I meant Linguist was a pain on Heroku
