Hello,

I started recently using Nesta and I was wondering why Nesta doesn't
use YAML to define the page metadata.

Just curious :)

I didn't feel it was necessary, and it would have been a potential point
of confusion for non technical authors. I don't want people to feel as
though they need to be a coder in order to enjoy using Nesta.

There are situations where YAML for metadata might be useful, especially
for plugins that need to add structured metadata to a page. I started
writing a plugin that supported YAML metadata, but my immediate need
evaporated and I haven't revisited it since.

Cheers,
Graham

Ah, make sense. I'm gonna play with plugins then.
