Well, looks like my first mail doesn't go through anyway...

So I guess my new question is, is there some way to get Gmane to work
with librelist lists without making Gmane users subscribe to the
lists? If it helps, I can tell you that Gmane does a similar process
when you first send a message to a certain list via Gmane anyway - it
sends you a confirmation message to which you must respond, and then
it sends the original message on to the actual list.
