I've actually been spending some time implementing this. I think it would
be good to have a built-in step like "When I select "File->New" from the
menubar".
Melomel would then find and click the appropriate submenu item.

I'm currently looking for a way to get at submenu items. Based on what
you say you can already do, I think that some of what I have implemented
is redundant, but not all.
I will try to wrap up my efforts on the weekend (I don't have much spare time).

Of course, someone else may have a way to do what we want already.

Subject: [melomel] Having trouble getting at cascaded menus

We have an app that has a menu in a menubar with items that cascade into a
submenu. I Can find and click the top button to open the menu, and click
on any menuItems that don't have a submenu but cannot find anyway to get
the menu to cascade (which would normally happen with a mouse over event).
Any ideas here would be great. Thanks

Jeff,
That would be perfect. My case adds an addition cascade, but it's
similar Reports->Activity->Report Name. I look forward to seeing what
you've done.
