Hello all ,
I have problem/confusion regarding the mails being sent from mail core.
i observe that i sent mails are not present in the SERVERS Sent
Items/Sent Folder, so is this the expected?? . I want to make a mail sent
from mail core clinet to be present in
the sent items , can one help me to achieve this?.is their flag
needs to be set while sending mail?

Thanks & Regards,
Prasanna Chitnis.

Saving messages to the "Sent" folder is an operation of the mail client,
not the mail server. So if you want your application (which is the mail
client) to do this, you're going to have to implement it yourself.
Probably using MCOIMAPAppendMessageOperation, but I don't know for sure
since I've never done it.

Hi ,
Thanks for your reply , for some reasons we are using mail core1, is
their any method in mailcore1 to do this?? i don't see any , their are
methods to copy message from one folder to other but not for appending
message to folder.

Thanks & Regards,
Prasanna Chitnis .

Hi ,
Ya got it thanks , but is it not correct that it should have
implemented in the mail core while sending mail?, will dig into the
details and see weather we can do it in mail core after the mail has been
successfully sent.

Regards ,
Prasanna chitnis.

Adding the sent message to the Sent Folder isn’t something that is done by
SMTP. It must be done by the IMAP client
