pygit2 sprint in Paris?

pygit2 sprint in Paris?

From:

Hello,

I don't have much time these days to push forward pygit2. A friend has
suggested the idea to organise a (one day) sprint (in Paris, France).

Are there any developers interested to participate?

Hey, that's a great idea.

Unfortunately I'm a tad far away from Paris atm, so I won't be able to
make it, but I'd love to see some progress on Pygit2. I understand
that it's very hard to keep up the bindings up to date because of the
speed at which the main library moves -- our own Rugged bindings were
very outdated, and it took me almost one week of work to bring them up
to speed; they just got outdated again after the Status and Reflog
merges.

Anyway, if you cannot make the sprint happen, I'll try to put some of
my own time on Pygit2 so it can move forward.

Cheers,
Vicent

That's kind of you, but if you got some time I would really appreciate
the issue #75 to be fixed. The slow 'git_tree_create_fromindex'
 function
is the main reason we are holding on the move from Git to libgit2.

 Cheers,
 David

Hi,

maybe we do a libgit2 / pygit2 / ... sprint from time to time
via web? For example one Saturday every second month, communication
via IRC..

What do you think?

Nice idea, a general libgit2/libgit2 binding hackerton would be nice and fun
:)

Cool. Does libgit2 have an IRC channel?

PS : I have not received any answer about the physical sprint, no
problem, maybe another time.

Afaik not yet.

I would love to attend such libgit2 / pygit2 / Git together, but
would have to decide short-dated depending on money & time..

You can create one on freenode if you want one. I don't know how busy it
would be...

If people are going to be at the Desktop Summit, we could meet one
afternoon. Three of us already live in Berlin :)
