Hey everyone,

the new minor release of libgit2 is here, with all the changes and
additions from the development branch.

https://github.com/libgit2/libgit2/commit/6dcb09b5b57875f334f61aebed695e2e4193db5e

Please report any issues you encounter when using the library or when
updating your language bindings.

Thanks as always,
Vicent

Hi Vicent,

Thanks for developing libgit2.
i'm looking forward to using new API.

by the way. how to manage `git_tree` and `git_tree_entry`?
it seems no API what create or add `git_tree` and `tree_entry`.

i would like to updating php-git in this weekend.

Cheers,
Shuhei

Hey Shuhei,

thanks to you for the awesome PHP bindings. :)

Regarding the `git_tree` issues: we dropped support for building trees
in memory because it'll be replaced shortly with a method call that
will allow to write the Index as a tree, which is the main intended
usage.

If somebody specifically requests support for writing "custom" trees
(i.e. manually creating tree entries), I will add that back too with a
new (threadsafe) API. So far no-one has complained though, because
it's not a really useful feature.

Cheers,
Vicent

Just do it already!
Can't wait for that to happen.
