Hello there,

I just wanted to give a quick update - maybe there is someone out there
reading this but not pulling the git repo regularly and not noticing,
that we are using issues [1] more frequent than before and update [2]
the LibertyWiki [3] from time to time. - I just added a getting started
page [4] there, as I received a question about installation via private
mail.

While Cyril is fixing the hard problems [5] and implementing new
features in the compiler and tools [6], Paolo discussed with SmartEiffel
authors, that Liberty is the official successor of SmartEiffel [7] and
may inherit the GNU "property" and not to forget his good work on the
wrappers. And my humble self tries to get into the internals of the
compiler and works a bit on infrastructure topics like E.T., our
EiffelTester [8].

All this we do to get the first Liberty release 'adler' [9] done soon -
whatever this means for a piece of libre software [10]. For adler we
want full online class documentation [11] and working Debian packaging.

If you now think: "Hey there is going something on at LibertyEiffel",
let me answer: "Yes, we do our best, but this may not be enough. So use
Liberty to develop a cool piece of software and think of contributing. -
There is still ''some'' work left [12]."

Anyhow, I don't know what I shall write about all this, so check out the
