They still think SmartEiffel is dead

They still think SmartEiffel is dead

I remember I once read about an eventual Eiffel to Javascript compiler,
in order to use our beloved language even for AJAX/web 2.0 development.
So this morning I was searching the web for it, sadly discovering that
everyone thinks our beloved compiler is dead:

    * the BSD camp:
          o http://www.freshports.org/lang/smarteiffel/
          o http://osdir.com/ml/freebsd-ports/2011-08/msg00302.html
    * Gobo
      http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.lang.eiffel.gobo.general/1720

I think I'll spend a couple of ours tracking main free software
operative systems letting them know that L/SE is still alive and we're
working on it.... I'll emit a issue about it...
If we target javascript I suggest to have a look at CommonJS (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CommonJS ) and V8.
I would give more credit to Adrian's idea of a REPL interface.

Of course. It *is* dead and we said it too (see

OK

Thanks :-) I started to write the interpreter a few days ago (I have both
Liberty first try and MiXuP experiences to draw upon).

The REPL will be but a small class run by the interpreter.

Cheers
