I guess I could delete emails "From" myself that are mailed-by:

Ahhh, gmail, good old gmail. Actually, I think that might be more the
headers the mailing list is using. I'll investigate that further since
it also seems that mutt can't figure out the threads. There are a *lot*
of headers involved in mailing lists.

Labels in gmail, so yeah. It's just slightly annoying that a second after I
send this email, Gmail will say the conversation can be updated, but that
the update is what I just sent. Comes through as a new, unread email.
I guess I could write a filter... are there other techniques I could use?

All the ones I'm on do. It's really kind of a personal preference, but
it seems more people expect the feedback, and if they don't get their
message back they aren't sure it was sent.

Ok cool, it must not be getting the body correctly. I'll put that in
the bugs list.

And is it normal for the list to send me the email I just sent out?Seems
like other lists don't do that.

Nope, attachments are stripped and only the body is sent. Did you
include some text with your attachment? It might be stripping that too.

Yep, I uninstalled aptitude's python-jinja2 and installed python-dev, then
ran easy_install for lamson, which worked correctly this time.

And, for this bug, it looks like you need all the Python developer
stuff. Look for things like python-dev and friends and install those
packages. Then it should work.

So is there a way for me to set that preference?
