Fwd: Need keys

Fwd: Need keys

Attempt 3 to send emails to mailing list....

Background for the rest of the mailing list:

As Jacqueline mentioned, she is part of the Rails Girls Summer of Code
project, and she is looking to get a proper test and production environment
setup for the API keys for single signon.

As I just mentioned to Steve on XMPP, we should have somebody who has
access to heroku generate two sets of keys - production, and
testing/development.

Thoughts?

First of all, great job Jacqueline!

Secondly, yes, obviously, production will need keys. Generally,
everyone uses their own development keys, though: putting them in
public just leads to abuse.

So we should figure out how to stub the ones for test/rspec, right?

Yup, or use the feature of VCR that filters sensitive information.

Somewhere burried in one of my bazillion project copies I have (from when I
was having the loading issues), I have consumer keys and secrets for all of
the service providers except OpenID and Google. I stored the actual numbers
in my zshrc and bashrc files. I can plug those in to stub out the ones for
tests and see if that works.
