A Hackety Summit

A Hackety Summit

Hey everyone-

I've been consumed with my grad school application, and so updates have been
a bit slow as of late. However, a few weeks back, a few of us were
discussing holding a "Hackety Hack Summit" where we could all come together
and discuss what's going on with Hackety, and how we're all going to move
forward. I'd love to share some of my thoughts with you, as well as get some
feedback and discussion going.

Obviously, we're spread out all over the world, and so a physical meeting
would be a bit difficult. I'd like to propose having this meeting in the
IRC, #hacketyhack on Freenode, at 3pm, EST, on Saturday, December 11.

The 10th is the day that my application is due, and so that'll begin my free
period of working on Hackety in earnest. In addition, I figure that a
Saturday would be the best to accommodate everyone, but I'm not sure about
that time. Would that be do-able for most people? I'm thinking in a very
US-centric way, where that's noon on the west coast, and early afternoon on
the East. Should this be later, maybe? I'm very open to suggestion.

If this gets a positive reaction from the list, I'll start promoting it
outside, and we'll see how it goes.

-Steve

Hello Steve, and everyone,

A Hackety Hack Summit sounds terrific! You can count me in!

I am broke as a joke right now with the holidays coming up, so an IRC
meeting sounds fantastic. And 3pm EST sounds great!
