Hello,

How to install geonode on ubuntu 12.04?
The ppa gives me a 404 not found when I apt-get update

If you save the living environment, the biodiversity that we have left,
you will also automatically save the physical environment, too. But If
you only save the physical environment, you will ultimately lose both.

1) Don’t drive species to extinction

2) Don’t destroy a habitat that species rely on.

3) Don’t change the climate in ways that will result in the above.

Hey Christian,

I think the packages are not yet available for 12.04. You may have to build
a debian using the geonode-deb packaging script.
Hope this helps, but i think there might be 12.04 release soon.

Christian,

You can also install directly from the release package instead of from
ubuntu packages. I havent yet tried on 12.04, but have installed
successfully on 11.10 with the release package.

Let us know if you need any help with that.

If you want to generate your own deb it's a one line fix tot the geonode
deb code. As seen here

https://github.com/wildintellect/geonode-deb/commit/55f97cfd4bcf42912270e82ec346fe668cb74c06

Hopefully that will get applied and a new deb will be built and uploaded
soon. Who normally does that?

Thanks,
Alex
