Sending again, seemingly list does not accept html:

Got it running on my own computer, that is localhost, with Apache2,
MySQL, and PHP, under Debian distribution jessie (testing).

However, it did not run before copying this file .htaccess into the
DocumentRoot (/var/www):

Options -Indexes
AddType application/x-java-archive .jar
AddType audio/ogg .oga
#AddHandler php53-cgi .php

<FilesMatch "\.(out|log)$">
Deny from all
</FilesMatch>

<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
   RewriteEngine on
   # Protect repository directory from browsing
   RewriteRule "(^|/)\.git" - [F]

   # Rewrite current-style URLs of the form 'index.php?q=x'.
   # Also place auth information into REMOTE_USER for sites running
   # in CGI mode.

   # If you have troubles or use VirtualDocumentRoot
   # uncomment this and set it to the path where your friendica
installation is
   # i.e.:
   # Friendica url: http://some.example.com
   # RewriteBase /
   # Friendica url: http://some.example.com/friendica
   # RewriteBase /friendica/
   #
   #RewriteBase /

   RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
   RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
   RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1
[E=REMOTE_USER:%{HTTP:Authorization},L,QSA]

</IfModule>

Also, I found it *impossible* to send the mail with the password out to
my mail address through *exim4* (the mailer of the system) to
david_moerike@arcor.de

The mail always went out and was then blocked by the spam blocker at the
mail provider.

But the program rejected registration with a *local* email, such as
xxx@localhost. For testing purpose, I inserted in file .htconfig:

$a->config['system']['disable_email_validation'] = true;

Now, I was able to run the program, register several users, and test
many things.
