I have the first edition of the book and it uses Clojure version 1.2. Would
this edition do for our purposes especially only two parts of the second
edition are written so far?

I pinged Don on IRC earlier about this. The first edition is correct,
but I'm sure fogus and chouser wouldn't mind you picking up the second
as well...

For what it's worth, I'm not expecting the version of Clojure to be that
big a deal. I'm not aware of any major changes between 1.2 and 1.5 that
would break old code (although they probably exist), and I'm hoping there's
much more focus on "how to do stuff" with Clojure than on new features vs.
old features.

I've run into a couple issues of breaking changes between early 1.x and
1.4/1.5, usually revolving around functions being moved to different
namespaces. I'm not sure if that was 1.2 code, but the error message is
simple enough to decipher, given Google and the rest of us here on the
list. I'm sure you'll be fine with the 1Ed, and if not, we could
potentially publish our own errata on the list.
