Flask development contributions

Hi all,

I'm not a professional web developer or advanced in programming
knowledge but I really do like this application. I am interested in web
development and have been using the Laravel framework recently for school.
Web development is quite new to me but I have been enjoying coding with
Flask.

I came across Flask browsing reddit and really liked how easy it was to
prototype different applications. I have an academic assignment to get
interactive with a FOSS community and try to help them out and I thought
Flask would be an interesting project to be a part of.

I did some browsing and research on Flask and could not find a roadmap or
features Flask is working towards. Should I try to work on the most recent
issues on the tracker in GitHub? Can anyone guide me on ways I could
contribute to this project? I also wouldn't mind working on long term
goals. Would definitely like to see Flask grow. It's amazing!

Thanks,
Winston Kouch

Winston,

I think it would be a good idea to visit the IRC channel. If you look on
Github on the issue tracker you could take a look and analyze some of the
issues made available there. The nice thing about Flask though is how
extensible it is. You could take a look at some of the flask extensions and
contribute in that matter also. Just my two cents.
