Exception email extension?

Exception email extension?

Hi fellow flaskers (flask-ites? flaskinistas?),

So, is my google-fu failing me, or is there really no Flask extension for
sending Django-style unhandled exception notification emails?
(Flask-Exceptional doesn't count since it involves a third-party service.)

Thanks,
Chris

Right, that's a barebones example of the sort of thing I'm talking about.

For comparison/context, Django's exception emails:
* are in nicely formatted HTML
* include the details of the HTTP request
* include the full exception traceback
* include the values of the local variables in all of the stack frames

I've actually already written a Flask extension to do this (based on the
same example you linked to). I'm just seeking to verify that I'm not
duplicating some other extension that already exists.

Cheers,
Chris

Perhaps you might want to give Sentry a shot if you are looking for
something additional to the built-in capabilities.

If Sentry is overkill hookup LogBook, it will give a more control over
what is sent in the email as well as other cool stuff.

Best,
Farhan

Maybe this can help you:
