Filtering unsubscribe messages

Filtering unsubscribe messages

Not to be annoying, but is there a way we could filter the unsubscribe
messages at librelist for flask? I don't think anybody needs to know when
people are unsubscribing and I've received about seven today. I'm setting
up a filter in my inbox, but it would be nice if we could do something to
exclude these messages for our new members.

You are right!
If there is anyway to do this, I am here to help and improve it.

Unfortunately the problem is that people aren't unsubscribing properly.

Docs: http://flask.pocoo.org/mailinglist/

You e-mail flask@librelist.com to subscribe and
flask-unsubscribe@librelist.com to unsubscribe.

What we are receiving is the result of clueless people sending e-mail
to the list that happens to contain "unsubscribe," which doesn't
actually unsubscribe them; just annoy us.

Oh, sorry.
Btw, nice to know that there is a proper way. :)

Shawn,

Thank you for posting those links it will be most helpful for those
wishing to perform the actions required to unsubscribe and find more
information if necessary.

As an aside, in the future if you wouldn't mind refraining from calling
people "clueless". I understand the frustration of spam, I don't like it
either, however I think it would be better to post the links in a friendly
manner and tone that encourages people to correct mistakes. Just my
opinion.

Thanks for understanding and helping make this community a better place
for all skill levels.

Sincerely,
NZ

We're all clueless about some things. The comment wasn't meant to
completely describe their mental abilities. Just failing to follow the
instructions from the source that told them how to subscribe in the first
place.

However, I should choose my words more carefully to avoid the judgment of
people quick to take offense on behalf of others who probably never read my
comment.

Well,

Don't worry. You are very supportive and helpful.
You do a nice job answering our question. IMHO it is enough.

Thank you!

I think there may be an additional language barrier at play at least. A
lot of the unsubscribe messages I'm receiving today have non-English or
non-Roman character names. Perhaps they aren't aware of the right
convention because of language.
