Meetup presentations - starting a new open source flask app

Hi,

I am Bharad and am a developer in San Diego. I am a software meetup
enthusiast and even gave a talk on 'Introduction to Flask' in SD python
meetup last month.

I listen to a lot of interesting talks in these meetups and often wished
to view the slides or fork the repo later. However, on several occasions,
the slides are not accessible. Also, wouldn't these presentations be
useful for the entire developer community?

I reached out to the organizers of a few meetups and pitched the idea of
building an app where speakers can upload their slides, code samples,
links to their projects, contact info etc. The response from the
organizers was very positive. I would back to like to hear your feedback
too (Please see P.S.).

About the app:
Meetupslides is a web application that facilitates sharing of
presentations in software meetups.
Users (speakers) can upload their presentations, source code, links,
contact info.
Users (knowledge consumers) will be able to search for various
presentations and access them easily.
Example search keywords: flask, redis, testing frameworks in web
applications, caching in Django, documentation best practices.

I started building the app with Flask. I have stubbed out a basic
application and pushed it to github. Source code will be open source (BSD
license).

Stack:
Python (2.7)
Flask (0.9)
Werkzeug
Jinja2
redis (Very open to switching to MySQL - sqlalachemy)
twitter bootstrap
git / github
heroku

To research and possibly include:
Flask WTF
Flask Login
Flask Uploads

Github URL:
https://github.com/teraom/meetupslides

If you are interested in contributing to this app, please reach out to me.
If there are a few developers interested, I ll take time to sketch more
details of this project via github wiki and issues. I am sure it will be a
great learning experience.

Thanks,
Bharad

P.S. - Please consider replying directly to me instead of the entire group.
