First Flask-App: blackboard

First Flask-App: blackboard

Hi Flask fans!

Some time ago, I started to be interested in server-side web
development. I came across flask and I think it's a really great framework.

I've started to write myself a simple app. It's a blogging software
inspired by soup.io where I collect things I find in the web.

So for a while now I'm adding new features, rewriting a lot, deleting
things. I think it's not nearly perfect and I want to learn how to make
things better and improve the code.

It is my first real flask-app and I would like to get some comments
about it. So if anybody has some time and can take a look at the code, I
will be very thankful.

I would like to hear anything you may notice.

The html and js files are very hideous but this parts aren't very
important to me. I'm focusing on the server-site/python part.

Thanks a lot
David

P.S I hope my spelling isn't too bad

Hi David,

Congratulations on a good start. It looks like a neat learning project.

I noticed that you picked a name for this project that's the same as
an education CMS system, and one that we used at my school. I'm just
letting you know,
just in case if you care about it: http://www.blackboard.com/

Thanks for your reply. I think I will stay with the name because I'm
usually not very inventive finding project names and since I'm not
selling the software or anything I think there should be no legal issues.
