override client priority

override client priority

Hi,

I'd like to override the client priority for an xmpp connection - with
different priority levels for some of the presence statuses. Looking at
the source, it's not entirely obvious how to achieve this, so some
feedback would be nice. My solution was to add the following code to the
XMPPStatus.sendPresence function right before the presence is sent:

if(type === 'online')
    presence.c('priority').t('60');

Note, that I'm using version 0.8.1.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Looks correct. Would be nice to have the priority available as a
configuration setting.

Hi,

Is there a way to send a "disconnect" when user closes his chat window?
Sometimes server gets confused and I am online when I have already
disconnected.

Yep, look at what happens when someone manually logs out:

Hi

Is there a way to set OTR as required/mandatory? I mean without OTR we
should not pass messages.

Please don't just reply to existing threads and then change the subject.

When you start a new topic, you should send a new email, otherwise you
break the threading.

About your question, I'm quite sure the otr.js library allows it, but
the functionality is not exposed in converse.js.

Could it be exposed in the future? :-)

Sure, there's nothing technical preventing it.

Internet Explorer issues

Hi

There are problems with IE in general. Sometimes chat does not pop up,
sometimes I can't negotiate OTR because it stays in "generating private
keys" or "trying to establish OTR..." and nothing happens.
Have you heard about IE incompatibility?
