|*Instructions for Subscribing and Posting*|

1. Send a mail to com.emabrey.jrain@librelist.com using the mail address
that you want to be known as within the list. This initial subscription
email to the list is dropped and does not become a post on the mailing
list; you don't need to worry that you will accidentally pollute the
mailing-list with a "Subscribing to the list" post.

2. Sometime soon (usually seconds) after you send the subscription email
you will receive an email asking you for a reply to confirm your
subscription. Verify that you are using the correct email account (please
try to keep email addresses somewhat appropriate) and reply to confirm your
subscription. This confirmation reply is dropped as well, so once again
don't worry about polluting the mailing list with a "Subscribing to the
list confirmation" post.

3. Sometime soon (usually seconds) after you successfully confirm your
subscription, you will receive an email indicating you have successfully
subscribed to the *com.emabrey.jrain* mailing list. Receipt of the
confirmation means that all emails to com.emabrey.jrain@librelist.com from
the address that you subscribed with are now considered posts. To be
perfectly clear: any emails to com.emabrey.jrain@librelist.com will no
longer be dropped, Instead, emails received from your subscribed address
will now be placed onto the mailing list as a post (assuming the post is
not blocked as spam or blacklist violation etc.).

|*Instructions for Unsubscribing*|

   1. Send an email from a previously subscribed address to
   com.emabrey.jrain-unsubscribe@librelist.com, which is the special
mailing list address that only handles unsubscriptions. The message sent is
not going to be posted, so you do not need to worry about polluting the
mailing list with any "Unsubscribe this email address" posts.

   2. Sometime soon (usually seconds) a confirmation email will be sent to
the address you are attempting to unsubscribe with; if you reply to this
message it will successfully unsubscribe that address from the
   *com.emabrey.jrain* mailing list.

   3. Except for one final email confirming your successful unsubscription
you should not receive any additional emails from the *com.emabrey.jrain*
mailing list on the unsubscribed account. The unsubscribed account does not
have it's messages deleted from the mailing list, nor is the account banned
   from resubscribing in the future.
