Hack Day: Mashup at the Mitchell
Saturday May 7

State Library of NSW Libraries maintain vast and exciting collections of
maps and photographs, newspapers,
and much more, and are key parts of our cultural and social memory. As part
of the LibraryHack mashup and
apps competition, the State Library of NSW is holding "Mash up at the
Mitchell", a free, one day hack event
on Saturday May 7, encouraging you to build apps, mashups, and more using
their wonderful and unique
collections.

What you produce on the day can be entered into the Libraryhack competition.

Produced by Web Directions, who've run hack events for the NSW and Federal
Governments, as well as the
exciting Amped hack series, Mash up the Mitchell features a number of
challenges, to engage your skills
whether you're a designer, developer, user experience expert, or big
thinker.

Just register at the link above, then just come along to the Mitchell
Library on Saturday May 7 and work
on one of the challenges.

All day we'll keep you fueled with food and drinks, we'll have experts from
the library as well as expert design
and development mentors on hand to help you make the most of the event, and
we'll wrap it all up with a
showcase of the best on the day, along with some incentive prizes.
