So I downloaded shoes 3.1 dmg on Lion and the package an app function does
not work. It crashes. Is that a known bug?

Hi Alex!

Yes, packaging via the menu is not working very well at the moment.
There are actually a couple of other active threads at the moment
talking about some of the issues.
