Sorry for being so long in replying.
I know C pretty well, but I don't really know any specific platforms. I can
read and write Ruby code, but I don't claim to be an expert on the language.
My primary platform is Mac OS X Leopard, but I also have access to Windows
XP.
I was not able to compile the latest Shoes. After installing all (I think)
the dependencies, then it complained that I did not have a 64-bit computer.
So I edited the Rakefile to take out all the "-arch x86_64"s, but then it
gave me a huge load of error messages, most of them syntax errors. I'll
report it on the Github project.

That's great! I can build for Snow Leopard, but I don't have a Leopard
computer around... so that's great.

Cool, please do! We'll work it out. It shouldn't be that bad...

If anyone is interested, meet me on #shoes so we can solve the problem of
Shoes not building on OSX Leopard.
