It appears this is an old MSFT issue from 2004/2007. Any fix would have
been part of Vista/Win7, I would hope.
It does hint that it could be a compiler version mismatch between what
Shoes was produced with and what exits in the 'wild'.
I'm not qualified to help with Windows, YMMV. I can only guess that
Win7/64 doesn't like Shoes/32bit and XP mode is imperfect in Win7. Not a
lot of help for you.

Yeah, this is a bug that Wilkie and I weren't able to reproduce on his
Windows machine... but I've seen on many others. I also can't help with
Windows, but it's good to have some progress made...
