Scary times with the addition of SSL

hey guys,
One of our goals for 2.0 is to get SSL in place, as it's very uncool
to do things like pass login credentials around in plain text.
Unfortunately, this requires a lot of small changes inside core files
(connection.c, response.c, etc.), so keep on the lookout for new bugs
if you're running the tip revision of the repo.
We hope to have HTTPS to you as soon as possible, and, as always, your
detailed bug reports are appreciated.
