Windows Support

The project is in its infancy, so I'm going to take my lumps now and ask
how cross-platform Mongrel2 is going to be? By this I mean Windows
compatibility. Native, not the cygwin cop out.

I'm not advocating windows myself; just getting an idea of how we feel about it.

No, it will never, ever support windows. I will not accept patches to
make windows work, even under cygwin. I will not work to make it run
on windows. It is for Linux and OSX right now, maybe BSD in a little
while, but never ever ever windows.

Of course, absolutely nothing prevents you from writing 0MQ handlers
that run on windows, and I'd even say that's how you should use Mongrel2
to breathe life into an antique windows app you've got. Don't put
Mongrel2 on windows, just have it talk to a handler running on
windows.

From http://sheddingbikes.com/posts/1277495906.html:

"Mongrel2 though is written in C and will never run on Windows. Ever. Not
even if Windows 8 is OSX and they buy me an Atelkof Super Bass VI. Mongrel2
is all unix, all the time, and heavily Linux focused with OSX only there
because people will probably try it on OSX first, with NetBSD and FreeBSD
probably later as I find a need (I use NetBSD)."

Don't know if Zed changed his mind afterwards, but if he did, he's sure to
tell you any second now.

Cheers!

Mongrel2 is all unix, all the time, and heavily Linux focused with OSX
only there because people will probably try it on OSX first, with NetBSD
