Alright everyone, I managed to undo the change that caused all the
trouble and get the current trunk all stable. Try it out, especially
letting me know if it seems to not find files because of weird paths. I
think there's a stray error I didn't revert in the path handling.
But, this change brings back the problem with the JSON/XML sockets not
handling fast numbers of requests. That'll get fixed in the refactoring
of the buffers.
Looking at the buffer usage in connection.c it's probably gonna be a
bigger refactor than anticipated. I'll do that change in a little
private branch and drop it on everyone once it's completed. This change
will make it so that the buffering is handled super correctly, unlike
now where it's a little all over the place and weird.
Let me know if you have errors so I can fix them up.
