Googlability of List Threads

Googlability of List Threads

Hello!

First of all, big props to Zed and any other contributors, loving
Librelist, just gearing up to use it for one of my own projects.

My only gripe is that it seems that archived threads are not very
googleable. Google _will_ pickup on the results of a thread, which is good,
but it won't _link_ to them if the search term wasn't in the initial post
of a thread, leaving the searcher having to dig through the entire thread
to get to that chunk of information.

This isn't a huge deal, but it might be worth adding to a TODO somewhere. I
think it could be fixed pretty easily with 'canonical.' Something to
consider!

Thanks again,

Agreed. I also mirror all the lists I create to gmane and maybe that
helps.

What is this 'canonical' you speak of? It sounds like a tool, but
ironically it's not an easy term to search for.

Just have canonical page for every post which brings up the thread page
with that post on it. Then you won't have to change the current navigation
too much. Does that make sense?
