In two weeks I will be doing a small workshop/training on Geonode in Kampala, Uganda. It's purpose is: * Introduce the participants to basics of using Geonode ** Upload data ** Make maps ** Enter meta data * How to start using Geonode on Ubuntu on virtualbox or by a basic Ubuntu 10.04 install. * To stimulate to discussion about how this technology could be the basis for a clearing house mechanism for environmental data in Uganda If anyone has related presentations then do not hesitate to send me copies. I will post links to our own presentations and other resources in a couple of weeks time. Cheers! Ragnvald
Ragnvald, The GeoNode docs [1] and are the best place to start. I've got an updated version that has some updates and *way* more screenshots in the users guide here in a single PDF [2]. To go into more depth on the components that make up GeoNode, the OpenGeo Workshops are the next most important thing to learn about in order to both administer and customize GeoNode sites. I've also compiled a sort of quick tour [3] through the workshops and some additional topics for a recent training I did in Bogor Indonesia.
