I have done a successful test deployment sometime before the 1.0 release,
but I didn't document the process at all and it was much more complicated
than even the current manual install process.
Basically the hard part is tracking down all the dependencies - python,
java, mod_wsgi. Most of the final configuration details will be similar but
actually installing the "platform" that GeoNode runs in will take a fair bit
of web searching.
It will be a slow process, but if you are willing to run through the process
and report back here when you run into road blocks, I can provide some
pointers. This is probably a discussion better suited for the development
list as Windows is currently not a supported platform for GeoNode.
