Scaling Geonode

Scaling Geonode

Hello,

I am thinking of using Geonode as the foundation for a customized web
application that potentially could have hundreds of simultaneous users
and hundreds (thousands?) of uploaded shapefiles and geotiff's. Do
you think Geonode's current architecture would be able to scale well
enough to handle such a load? I noticed that automatic tile caching
with GeoWebCache is on your roadmap, is that something you expect to
begin working on soon or is it further down the road?

Thanks,
Matt

Hi Matt,

While I personally do not know whether the current architecture will scale,
I do know that we will be working hard on scalability testing and
improvements as one of the first things we work on after the 1.0 release.

GeoWebCache integration is something we hope to get in soon as well.
