GeoNode sprint second week of June?

GeoNode sprint second week of June?

So, word is that Ariel's going to be working with us at the OpenGeo office
the second week of June.

Chris suggests that maybe it would be a good week for a GeoNode sprint.
Gabriel and Andreas, we could fly you in.

Does this work for everybody? If so, we can pencil it in.

I'll be out that Monday, but around otherwise.

My trip to New York from June 6 to June 12 was confirmed yesterday. If it's
not a sprint, then at least it would be a mini-sprint :)

See you all there.

Ariel.

Cool, a sprint! What are we going to sprint on?

Some random things that i don't like about the code right now:
  * empty urls.py for "reusable" apps
  * default templates all in geonode/templates instead of their
respective apps
  * capra.settings starts with "from geonode.settings import *"
  * weird path stitching in geonode.urls to find static javascript
resources (means that installing geonode as a python package breaks all
the media references in debug mode)
  * jsbuild dependencies for geonode-client are handled via a big list
in the jsbuild configuration instead of actual dependency declaration in
the code
  * geonetwork surgery in the main paver script

I'd be psyched to see some of these issues tackled during the sprint,
but I also get that many of them aren't a ton of fun. Other ideas?

The schedule for this "sprint" is sort of in flux right now. Andreas and
Gabriel won't be there (but that's because we've got the budget to bring
them in for a week for this one more time this year and I want to do it when
they can make it at the same time, and AH says he can't make it)

Also, there's going to be some meetings. Galen will be here as well, and a
new guy, Laurent from SEGEPLAN, also.

So hold that thought....
