You know, we all have egos ... I think that goes with being a
programmer and be willing to put something out in public that can be
commented on; but really it's not like there are cash and prizes at
stake here.
Yeah the calcs can probably be improved ... but we said the same thing
when there were only 6 of us ... just that we're seeing different
issues the more people (and their associated behavior) comment and
play.
People will like what I play, or they won't and I'm OK with that.
While I like the site and playing here, in a way it's based on one of
those flawed premises like Vi vs. Emacs --- Who's better, The Edge or
Robben Ford? Apples to Oranges ... I had that same feeling last
night listening to Al's second submission which I thought was great,
but really isn't comparable to what I play or you play ... it's a
different technique, performance requirement, etc.
I kinda quit caring about cowbells and the stats a couple weeks ago,
the comments are more interesting to me.
Just my $0.02

Yeah I know, that order by submission count in SQL is making me a bad
ass guitarist. Who says being a programmer can't make you an awesome
rockstar. :-)

Me too, but Chad's right, the stats are currently screwed because I made
a mistake in the SQL. It's just a bug which I'm gonna fix soon.

Hey, I'm an American. It's all about the War, and who's Winning.

LOL ...
And just to correct myself, it was Dave Ray's second submission Five
Little Friends that I was thinking of, not Al's (who has only 1 sub
anyway)
