Hi! Just did some research on some existing frameworks and decided to join Flask , taking it up as my first ever web development framework(The reason being , everyone I sought an opinion from , were all praises for the framework). I have never done any web development before and definitely look forward to seeking the support of all of you in the endeavour. :-) Thanks Alice
Welcome on board, just ask on this list or on the #pocoo IRC if you have any questions. It is, though that blog post is already quite dated (module support is now part of Flask release, SQLAlchemy supported through an extension, etc). I can certainly tell you that your first decision in using Flask was an excellent one, and usually it takes people years to find something this good. So good luck, I am sure you'll do brilliantly! Well you are most welcomed! Dont hesitate in asking for whatever concerning web development! Why you decided to go python and flask though? 2010/9/28 alice ni <alice.ni19@gmail.com> > Hi! > Just did some research on some existing frameworks and decided to join > Flask , taking it up as my first ever web development framework(The reason > being , everyone I sought an opinion from , were all praises for the > framework). Thanks a lot Rodrigo! I dabbled around with Drupal and php and it was getting on my nerves with all those hooks, callbacks etc.It did not take me long to understand that it was not for me. When it came to python, I came across django and it seemed to have a different language of its own. I wanted something more pythonic and you can say I just stumbled on flask , which seems to be getting a lot of attention in the python community.
