Hi everybody, Currently the slogan is "because sometimes a pocket knife is not enough" which is really bad pun. The "pocket knife" refers to Werkzeug and the not enough should mean: sometimes problems can be solved with the help of alcohol which is typically stored in a flask. So: now I'm looking for a better slogan. Any ideas? Regards, Armin

Best not to take pot shots at other frameworks, or have alcohol-related slogans - we might have to sell this to management one day, and not all of them have a sense of humour ! Django has "for perfectionists with deadlines", Pylons "the hacker's framework". To whom is Flask directed ? What kind of developer is likely to use Flask, or for what kind of projects ? That might give a clue as to the slogan. Hi, Small update with the submissions I got from IRC and Twitter: "For the smallest task, use Flask" "more with less code" "web.py done right" "simple webframework done right" "clean, simple, powerful" "Flask. Up for any task" "the micro awesomework" "love potion for the webdev" Regards, Armin
"Like a bottle, but classy"? Yeah, maybe that's too much of a shot at Bottle... I really like "For the smallest task, use Flask.", even though I think Flask would be cool for mid-sized projects as well. -Randall On Sun, Apr 25, 2010 at 7:11 PM, Steve Losh <steve@stevelosh.com> wrote: > "Like a bottle, but classy"? > > Yeah, maybe that's too much of a shot at Bottle... > > > On Apr 25, 2010, at 9:40 PM, Armin Ronacher wrote: > > > Hi, > > > > Small update with the submissions I got from IRC and Twitter: > > > > "For the smallest task, use Flask" > > "more with less code" > > "web.py done right" > > "simple webframework done right" > > "clean, simple, powerful" > > "Flask.
